The government has given permission to 10th, 11th and 12th class students to come to school from October 1 in Tamil Nadu.
TN Govt has announced that Class 10,11,12 students can go to school from October 1 to ask questions related to the subjects. Government, government-aided schools, private school students can go to school. The government has also advised them to go only to schools outside the corona controlled areas. The government has also said that teachers should be divided into groups and come to schools after the break.
Minister Senkottayan has given an explanation. Of these, there is currently no possibility of opening schools in Tamil Nadu. He said student admission in government schools will be held till Sep 30. About 2.5 lakh private school students are enrolled in government schools and primary schools will be started in 10 places and high schools in 15 places across the state, he said.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Palanisamy has announced in his speech that the decision regarding the opening of schools will be made depending on the mood of the parents of the students in Tamil Nadu. He also spoke on Teacher Qualification Examination and Aryan Examinations.
Although the Central Government has given permission to open schools from the 21st, the Chief Minister has announced that the decision regarding the opening of schools will be taken after knowing the mood of the parents in Tamil Nadu.
The COVID19 lockdown came into effect last March due to the corona threat. Though the central and state governments have announced various gradual eases, the decision to open educational institutions including school and college is now decided.

Recently Maharashtra Government has released an entire set of guidelines for a phased reopening of schools. Tamil Nadu state is also facing similar conditions with a high number of COVID patients and extended lockdown. Thus the state is also contemplating on various rules that need to be followed once schools reopen.
Earlier, the Tamil Nadu Government has appointed a 16-member panel of experts headed by School Education Commissioner CG Thomas Vaidyan to make recommendations on opening schools in Tamil Nadu. The group also conducted a multi-stage study on when to open schools and curriculum and also The state expert committee has been constituted to decide on school education reforms making student-teacher ratio to 15:1 to ensure physical distancing among students.
